I should be studying for my Grade 11 Advanced Functions midterm test, but I'd rather be sitting here typing this, procrastinating (there goes the title being thrown around again). I'm writing this just to update everyone out there reading this about whats been going on lately. So after leaving DA for a year to slack off in Grade 10 Art and other subjects, I've come across my "light at the end of the tunnel" or a revelation.
During the year that I was away, I went to my home town of the Philippines for a vacation with my family, where I experienced first hand what the borderline of poverty and paradise looks like. Although my gallery doesn't have that much artwork to show it yet, the artwork I've been working on lately are all inspired by that trip, by sending out messages to you reading this for those who can't speak for themselves. To depict the cries of help of children in my artwork so you, those reading this, might help me raise the volume of the cries of those in need. This is what inspires me.
Thanks for reading,
Elizier Gancena
